Agogo is the Chichewa word for grandfather or grandmother. Full care for the elderly has been our main social program.
- We have already built more than 60 houses.
- Today we are serving 68 elderly people and 8 orphaned grandchildren.
- When they join the program, they receive a starter kit with a bed, mattress, clothes, blanket, pillows, mosquito net, pots, plates, cutlery, cups, buckets, basins and shoes.
- Every month they receive a basic food basket and health care, which includes haircuts at home.
The program costs R$600 (Brazilian reais) per elderly person per month.
